Murano, 37 Grosvenor Street & 38 Grenville Street

Murano, 37 Grosvenor Street & 38 Grenville Street

Aug 27, 2011

A two tower glass encased complex with 45 and 37 stories respectively on the east side of Bay Street between Grenville and Grosvenor, immediately north of College Street.

The intricately glass design encasing the towers portrays the glass artistry of the island of Murano.
Barbara Astman, an internationally renowned artist, was commissioned to create the artwork which will be embedded within the podium curtainwall.
Murano is a well designed building in a desirable location. The twin glass crystal towers were inspired by Peter Clewes – the internationally renown architect. The name Murano, a small island close to Venice, Italy home to Venetian glass since the 13th century, captures the personality of the building. The design team transposed the colours, shapes and art from this city to the building’s lobby, featuring a rare collection of Venetian Glass & Italian furniture, amenities – exotic porcelain tiled pool with custom mosaic inserts underneath a retractable glass roof. In the suites – Italian Scalvolini kitchens with highly modern glass cabinetry give the units a contemporary feeling. Other amenities include a fitness track and spacious exercise room, double sided fireplace in the lobby, outdoor landscaped garden, and guest suites. Suite sizes range from 425 sq ft to 1162 sq ft.
